Our Story

L. Healy Hitachi 135 on Clay Heap

Founded in 1983 by Larry Healy, we provide groundworks and civil engineering services across the Midlands to some of the nation’s largest housing developers.

We specialise in medium to large housing developments, ranging in contract value from £1m to £30m across the West Midlands region and into the wider Central England area, including Gloucestershire to the South.

In 2020, we moved from our offices of 33 years in Acocks Green, Birmingham into to fully refurbished office and warehouse in Redditch, Worcestershire, which amongst many other facilities, includes training facilities that enables us to provide on-site training to our workforce.

Larry Healy established L. Healy Ltd. in 1983, quickly developing a reputation for having strong, honest and reliable relationships with our clients, and this remains an enduring aim of the company as it enables us to work to our clients requirements efficiently, accurately and safely.

The knowledge and expertise we have accumulated not only as a company but also through our workforce, some of whom have been with us from the start nearly 40 years ago, and we see the next generation to join this company too. That knowledge and expertise being kept within the firm, being passed on, and also securing new workers and pushing further and further on our workforce training and development enables us to deliver on our client’s complicated construction requirements and time sensitive developments.

I’m immensely grateful that I was able to establish this company in Birmingham in the early ’80s.

It has brought employment for myself, and to many fellow countrymen, and the hundreds of others too, and as the next generation ask to join our workforce it makes me very proud of what we are achieving.
